The Organising Committee invites the submission of abstracts for oral and poster presentations at the 2026 COGNO Annual Scientific Meeting, to be held in Adelaide from 26-27 August 2026.

Important Dates

  • Abstract submission deadline:  Friday 5 June 2026

  • Notification of acceptance: The week of 22 June 2026

  • Registration deadline for accepted abstract authors/presenters: Friday 6 July 2026

  • ASM dates: 26-27 August 2026

Awards

There are four awards available for accepted oral and poster abstracts:

  • Young Investigator Award

  • Most Outstanding Oral Presentation

  • Most Outstanding Poster Presentation

  • BTAA Lynette Williams Award (for posters from any discipline in research related to supportive care for people with brain tumour)

Themes

Abstracts may be submitted under the following themes:

  1.  Adolescent and Young Adult, Paediatric and Rare CNS Tumours

  2.  Basic / Translational Science

  3.  CNS Metastasis

  4.  Clinical Trials and Trials in Progress

  5.  Glioma

  6.  Imaging

  7.  Meningioma

  8.  Pathology and Genomics

  9.  Personalised Medicine and/or Therapeutics

  10.  Radiation Oncology

  11.  Surgery

  12.  Survivorship, Psychology, and Supportive Care

  13.  Other

 

Guidelines

  • Abstracts must be 300 words maximum, including section headings. The title, authors' names, professional affiliations and references are not included in the word count.

  • The presentation type will be allocated by the Abstract Review Committee.

  • Abstracts accepted for poster presentation will be available for viewing during the meeting. Specifications will be provided.

  • If your abstract is chosen for oral presentation, you will be contacted with further details.

  • Accepted abstracts will be compiled into an abstract book and made available to all delegates.

 

Abstracts should comprise the following elements, with each beginning a new paragraph:

  • Title: In initial capital/lower case, not all capitals.

  • Authors: Supplied in full in capital/lower case, not all capitals. Only one presenting author can be selected per abstract.

  • Affiliation: Institutional affiliations should be indicated for each author and should contain institution, city and country.

  • Abstract text: Structured to include Aims, Methods, Results and Conclusions.

  • Images: Supporting images or tables/graphs are welcome. All images must be cited in the abstract text.

  • References (optional): Should follow the numbered style and must be cited within the abstract text.

 

Conference Attendance

All accepted presenters will be required to cover their own costs in attending the COGNO ASM. The deadline for presenters to register is 6 July 2026.
